Tim
Do you guys have those Krispy Kreme egg sandwiches?
Google Android Tour Guide
You must be referring to our sometimes breakfast, the delightful Krispy Kreme Egg and Cheese. Unfortunately, we are not serving them at this time.
Tim
Lame, got any IC Lite?
GATG
Sir, it’s 9 o’clock in the morning.
Tim
Whatever, I brought a flask from home. Continue the tour, you pompous replicant.
GATG
Sir?
Tim
Whatchu got to watch around here? I keep hearing about this Google TV. You guys got Skinamax?
GATG
Did you mean Cinemax?
Tim
Sure, actually, lemme check out some Pens’ clips. I need something to take the bite out of this Jamison.
GATG
Sir, I would like to remind you there is no drinking in the Pittsburgh Google offices.
Tim
[glares]
GATG
Sir?
Tim
Which wire I gotta pull to shut you up?
GATG
Sir? I… I would like to remind you, you are a guest…
Tim
[smashes Google Android Tour Guide’s face screen with prosthetic leg]
GAGT
[fireball shoots from head, puff of black smoke rolls out]
Tim
That’s exactly why I’m a Blackberry user.

Dialog by Jay Casey
(reblogged onefootinthegrave)
A few days ago I saw this photo popping up all over the internet. It’s from the protests in Cairo, one where a man in plain clothes is comforting a soldier in army fatigues. The soldier has been crying, but the reason why is never made clear. Various posts made conflicting claims. One said the man is upset for not being able to protect protesters. Another said the soldier was pulled from an attacking crowd. (And, if you go on reddit, the man in plainclothes is a doctor and the soldier has been exposed to teargas). But, without proper attribution the story behind the picture becomes distorted, and the power of the image almost becomes damaging. Therefore, I took the opportunity to play around with the relation of these two (most of which devolved to a conversation about music and American pop culture references).
